1998 saw the release of a Japanese horror film that would become a huge hit worldwide: Ring.

And in 1999, a certain art goblin decided it would be hilarious to make reference to said film in order to poke fun at his best friend’s girlfriend, who he... well, doesn’t exactly think highly of.

His boyfriend, supposedly the more mature of the two, only encouraged him.

(Koichi, who accidentally ended up seeing the doodle, later got his own back by Troll Teaming with Yukako and pranking Kakhan much like this. In the end, this would all be something the four of them would look back on and laugh.)
